It is common that most of the people are not aware of the importance of PAN Card. For instance, if you have to send money through Bank above Rs. 50,000 to someone on an emergency – PAN Card is mandatory.
What is PAN?
PAN is a 10-digit alpha-numeric number which is mandatory for any transaction above Rs.50,000
Also PAN Card can used as an identity proof for booking tickets in Train, Flight, Bus, etc. PAN Card is not only for the tax payers, but for everyone who is an Indian Citizen. Even for applying loans in Bank, you need PAN Card to proceed further. Usually when a person applies for loan, Banks check CIBIL score using your PAN Card number.
